Labor Day Fun

Grandpa & Grandma Oveson belong to Riverside Country Club which is a really great benefit to our family. My boys love to golf there, we have swimming lessons there every summer, the boys are on the swim team every summer, plus we can go swimming any time we want in one of the most beautiful pools around. It's nothing fancy, but the lifeguards are great, and you can't beat the view...mountains on one side, golf course on the other. I can just sit in a lounge pool and read while my kids swim their little hearts out. We LOVE it down there. As fun as everything is, the absolute highlight of the year is the Labor day party! It's like an old fashioned carnival right out of Pollyanna. Live band, cotton candy, cheap carnival games, BBQ lunch complete with ice cream bars, face painting, balloon artists, blow up slides, and last but not least the pool party where all the kids dive for coins. Riverside is tearing down their clubhouse and building a new one and all I can say is I hope the new one is ready for the Labor Day party next year!
