Thankful Thursday

I know you've all been wondering what hole I have fallen into...but alas, it was just Summer (which I should post about at some point). It has been a very emotionally draining week for our family and today my sister Angela gave birth to her twin boys 14 weeks early. Angela is a real trooper, she is an amazingly strong woman who has shown her grace through this process. Three weeks ago one of the boys died so she has been dealing with all the emotions that come with losing a child along with being pregnant and having 3 small children to take care of. I was able to go to the hospital tonight to see both boys and although Joseph (the one who had passed away) looks like he's been through a rough battle, the sweet spirit you can't help but feel when you look at him is overwhelming. It was a tender time for everyone who was there that I will never forget. Hyrum is 1lb 10oz and doing well under the circumstances. He is tiny, adorable, strong & loved. Angela lives in Ferron which is about 2 hours from the hospital so we're all going to get a lot of visits with Hyrum while she's away. The doctors estimate he'll be there for 3 months. Today I am thankful for an eternal perspective on life, as well as my eternal family. Thanks Angela & Eli for allowing me to share that tender moment with your sweet family. I love you guys.

Thanks for sharing, I have been thinking about her after I heard the news. At least she has great family backing her up. Hope you all are doing well.

Good luck to your sister and her family. That is so hard to deal with I'm sure. Thanks for the dear post. Very tender.

I read your post early this morning and didn't have time to comment... now I do. Andrea, your family has been in my thoughts all day. I can't even imagine going through this. He is so beautiful. Hang in there little Hyrum. God bless.

Lots of love.
