Every time I go on a trip anywhere I am always thankful to be home safe, and this time is no exception. Last Thursday Merrill & I took Riley to Washington D.C. for the wedding of Merrill's nephew Rob. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was rainy, hot and muggy, and I even got to see an old friend who used to live in our ward Annette who lives in PA now. While we were there we had a lot of adventures, one was getting back to our hotel at midnight after the train we had ridden to the city had a terrible crash. It happened one stop after we got on a few hours earlier and I still feel blessed to have not been on the train that crashed. We had been siting in the first car and judging from the pictures things would not have been good for us. So today I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for always looking out for my family. At one point after missing our flight and not being able to find a hotel and feeling a little discouraged I thought to myself, "there are no accidents". In the end everything worked out better than if I had planned it and we had a wonderful time. Someday maybe I'll find my camera cord and I'll be able to post some pictures.
