I know you can hardly believe it...5 new posts in one week. I'm trying to catch up from the summer. I must admit, today it is really hard for me to exactly put my finger on what I am thankful for. It's been a rough couple of days with Richard. In light of that fact, I'm going to remind myself what I love about him and make myself be thankful to be his mother (which I am). There is NEVER a dull moment when Richard is around. He is so full of life and likes to do so many different things. His favorite color right now is PINK and boy did I not see that one coming! I had to draw the line at painting his room pink, I don't know what Merrill would have done. Richard is a true crusader of truth & right. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't always tell the truth, particularly if it involves having his homework done or room clean, but he always tries to do what he knows to be right. I love that about him! He also will always admit when he has done something, even when it gets him into really big trouble. He does it without explanation, which drives me crazy. I'd like him to explain to the teachers & principal why he does certain things, like "so and so took my Lacrosse stick and would not give it back so I took it back...very forcibly". But instead when asked if he did something he simply answers "yes" with no explanation. It does get him into trouble every now and then, but I love that he doesn't make excuses. Whatever Richard does, he does it all the way, another wonderful trait I love. He is the BEST big brother and cousin. I rely on Richard a lot for help, and I truly love and appreciate him with all of my heart. I am so thankful for my firstborn son and I do love him very much...and I also hope he outgrows this "stage" he's in.

I loved that post! If he needs some pink send him over here... we are over flowing with it. And a really cute book is ,"Pinkalicious" that he might like! I love that picture of him. Are we seeing a glimpse into the future?!
That is a good picture of him. I still can't believe he's as old as he is. He'll always be the little boy who loved me the most and called me Anga.
That picture totally threw me off at first, it is great! It sounds like we have both been having a few hard days...what the heck?! I love my children too, I really do, I promise, I am not just telling myself that! :-)
(Hey tell Merril thanks for coaching the football team, I really do appreciate the time and effort he puts into it!)
Hey, random question for you...
Do you know who in the stake makes those little beaded pacifier... hook things? You know, that clip onto kids clothes? My best friend is having a baby and I thought I'd get her some. I can't find them outside of Orem!
Also that's hilarious about Richard telling people what he did when it gets him in trouble. What a sweet, funny trait!
Oh my gosh I feel so stupid! I hadn't checked your blog in a while so I was reading through all your old posts and you had "Richard thinks I should quit Sweet Baby Beads" and it hit me... It's you, isn't it?!?! That is so ironic! I've been telling so many people about them, too!
Yeah, I just found your website, I cannot believe I did that. I feel like an idiot.
I'll be calling you.
