Thankful Thursday, Happy Birthday Riley Roodle Doo

My sweet little Riley Roo turned 9 on Monday. It's hard for me to see my kids grow up so fast, so I don't really enjoy their birthdays. Sure it's fun to spoil them, and who doesn't like birthday cake, but the realization that one more year has passed me by is sad for me. Riley has always been my sweet happy go lucky middle child. Some of you may know what that means, for those of you who do not let me explain. Riley tells me that he loves me more than any of my other children and maybe more than Merrill. He also tells me that he hates me more than anyone. I like to tell him that's OK because I love him enough for the both of us...which makes him even more angry with me. It really takes a lot to get Riley upset, but once he's there WATCH OUT! He loves his brother and sister and will play with either one. He loves to play football & lacrosse and is good at both sports. He also likes to long board with Merrill & Richard, which he is also good at. For his birthday he got $140, a dart gun & some batteries to go with the dart gun. I offer my kids a birthday party or $100, which is a bargain if you ask me! This year he took the money and our family went to play laser tag together after his family party. I'm not sure what he's going to buy with that money, I am almost afraid to ask. He wants a dog more than anything in the world, but I don't think I could handle one more thing to take care of. I know, I'm a mean mom. Maybe someday! Happy Birthday Riley, I am so thankful for you and I can't imagine life without you.
I'll post pictures later...I'm in a bit of a re-modeling mess, and I can't find the cord to my camera!!!
