Thankful Thursday

Yesterday I had the flu...nothing fancy, just the 24 hour yucky flu! I always think, "I'd like to get sick so I could lose a few pounds" that is until I actually get sick...at which point I think,"WHAT WAS I THINKING???". Today I feel much better, tired and weak, but better. I've decided that it is really great to be sick when all of your kids are in school all day. What a blessing, I got to just lay in bed all day and be sick. So today I am thankful for my health, and the health of my family. I always like to think that no matter what, it could be worse and at least we are healthy. I am particularly happy that it did not fall on Halloween as I LOVE Halloween! I'm having a hard time really getting into the "spirit" this year, but the closer it gets the more excited I get. We carved pumpkins a few days ago, and had a really fun time. I love that my kids are all old enough to clean their own pumpkins out! Richard chose to carve the classic BYU logo...big shock, Riley got a little creative and carved a BYU helmet that made Richard wish he would have thought of that, and Lindsay carved a witch. Happy Halloween!
