Thankful Thursday

It's been so long, I almost forgot to do my Thankful Thursday post! This week I'm thankful for the beautiful world we live in. Last weekend I took the kids to Yellowstone with my family and we all had such a fun time. We almost didn't go because of some scouting conflicts but at the last minute they were cancelled and I decided to pack up the kids and go. Merrill had to work so he did not get to come. This was my first time to Yellowstone, yes that's right...I grew up 5 hours away from this little gem others come from all over the world to see and I'm just now getting to see it for the first time. How sad is that! Richard did NOT want to go to Yellowstone because he wanted to watch the BYU vs UofU basketball game and play in his last basketball game which both were on Saturday (lame I know). I almost gave in and let him stay home, but the more he pushed the more I wanted him to come and in the end I was right. I think he had more fun than anyone (although you'd never know it from some of these pictures).
On Thursday we went into the park in a van/bus with tracks. All Riley wanted to do was see some animals so naturally he was thrilled with every one he saw.
Lindsay got carsick on the drive up to Yellowstone and so she basically missed the whole next day. She slept almost all day...as you can tell she was really enjoying the animals!

Friday we went Snowmobiling with my family and Richard learned how to drive a Snowmobile which he loved.

Saturday we went to a Bear and Wolf museum where the kids got to go hide food for the Bears.
We also had a Birthday Cake for Lindsay while we were there since we were both sick on her Birthday.
In between we did lots of swimming and watched 3 awesome IMAX movies, Yellowstone, Bears & Lewis and Clark. And I no longer have to say I've never been to Yellowstone! We liked it so much we want to go back this Summer. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for a truly wonderful trip. You guys are the BEST! The VERY BEST part of the trip was that my sweet new niece waited for us to come home before making her grand entrance. She is so cute and we're all in love with her. Thanks Addison, your favorite auntie ewa loves you!

How fun is that! David and I have recently talked about hiking up to Yellowstone with the kids. Maybe in the summer. I love seeing the pics and I can't believe how timeless your parents are!
