Early last week I received a phone call from the primary secretary reminding me that Richard has a talk on Sunday (today). She was so sweet to remind me of said talk..I just wish she would have reminded me last night...Tuesday was so long ago! At least I remembered this morning which is nothing short of a miracle. We have 9am church so I really needed some quick help. My mom gave me a book called 52 weeks of FHE which has quick easy lessons and I figured I'd just have him use something from there. That was until I looked at the paper with the assigned topic, "Adam and Eve were the first family". Nothing in that book even came close. I should point out that Merrill had to work today and I was the sole person responsible to get everyone ready and to church. I was running out of time! I decided to search the Internet and see what I could find. What a great idea, I found THE BEST website for primary talks. It gives one for every assigned topic for the whole year. They are simple, well written and 3 minutes long. I'm so excited I decided to post it for anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation so here it is http://primarytalks.googlepages.com/
I ended up missing the actual talk, but I was told Richard did great and I'm sure he did. Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you look at it) he has no problem getting up in front of people and talking. That is a trait he did not get from me! Way to go Richard...and me I guess for finding something for him to say.

Oh how funny this was exactly what happened at our house. Annalise had to give a talk as well.... we also prepared two minutes before our 9 am meeting.
You're good. I'd have been tempted to keep him home sick. Our Primary secretary always calls the day before, and I always wish she'd give us a little more notice. But you're absolutely right - I would definitely forget if given too much time.
Way to go Andrea!
You are always so resourceful.
