Let's see...where do I even begin after spending a wonderful vacation in Mexico with my family surrounded by people who have so little but happy anyway. Mexico was warm and beautiful with the exception of a rainstorm that took the power out for a few hours. I guess I'm the most thankful to live in the USA! There is a feeling when you cross over the border into Mexico that I can't quite explain. The same thing happens when you cross back over to the United States, only the feelings are very different. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Mexico and the beautiful loving people there...I just love living here where there are so many opportunities they don't have there. I don't know what I did to deserve to be born into such a wonderful family with so many blessings, but it must have been really good!

I think it is so neat that your kids get to see how other people live with so little. I wish my kids to see just how lucky we are to live where we do. What a fun trip. Lucky you that you get to go there every year with your family.
My family enjoyed living in Italy for a few years. But, when we decided to move back my mom was excited. When she got off the plane in California she literally wanted to kiss the ground. She understands that feeling you just can't explain.
You do have a marvelous family, on both sides!
When we go to Puerto Penesco, half of the city is poor, like dirt floors poor and the other half is the rich americans who have come in and bought all of the waterfront property. It is humbling to see how they live and what they have to put up with. I love it. Hope your doing well!
Wow. What an amazing way to spend Thanksgiving weekend. Makes you count your blessings.
