Thankful Thursday #2 "Mothers"

When I have to sit down and think about what to write about on Thankful Thursday...it's hard to think of just one thing! So this week I'm most thankful for Mothers.

I'm thankful for my mother, who I often refer to as a "Saint" because although she doesn't think she is...we all KNOW she is! She's not perfect probably because we still need her here with us. She teaches us more about life and being a mother than she'll ever know. I treasure each and every lesson about life she continues to teach me.

I'm thankful for my mother-in-law Alix. I'm thankful that she is still alive after a rollover on the way home from California. With Alix I always know where I stand, and where she stands and I appreciate that. I enjoy spending time with her as unlike my mother, she enjoys shopping.

I'm thankful for all of my grandmothers, Grandma Ault, Grandma Herbert, Grandma Smith, Grandma Vinnie, Grandma Cunningham and Grandma Mal. I am lucky enough to get to spend time with the ones who are still here, and I think about the ones who are no longer here and miss them dearly.

I'm thankful for all the wonderful women who have been like mothers to me! There are too many to mention...but you all know who you are.

And last, but certainly not least, I'm thankful to have the honor of being a mother. I'm thankful for all the lessons my children teach me everyday! I'm thankful for their willingness to teach me, and believe you me, it's not easy...for any of us. I'm thankful for their love and forgiveness for me.
